As he shifted over in his hammock for what felt like the hundredth time, Oliver saw the moon slide out from behind a cloud, and a slice of silvery light fell through the open window. Then Oliver’s eyes nearly fell out of his head in shock. For there, quite visible in the moonlight, was a whole swarm of bats flying towards the window – and flapping into the museum. Oliver’s eyes widened in horror as he saw that the bats all had white fangs. Vampire fangs. Oh, no. This was what he’d been dreading. It seemed that the Vampire-summoning spell really had worked! |
