There was a terrible silence. Then the referee fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a red card. “Get off this pitch at once!” he ordered Mr Jones. He brandished the red card in his face. “Off! You are banned from watching the rest of this match. You've been causing a disturbance ever since it started.”
Mr Jones's mouth fell open. Then he said, “You can't give me the red card. I'm not even playing!”
“Exactly,” the referee fumed. “So do us all a favour and leave the pitch. NOW!”
