Oliver jumped as he noticed that the monster painting had been hung up on the kitchen wall. He’d forgotten just how creepy the grinning green monster was!
“What do you think?” Mrs Moon asked brightly, seeing his face. “Looks all right there, doesn’t it? Quite nice to have a bit of colour in here.”
“Um…” said Oliver. “I suppose so.”

He looked away hurriedly. There was something about the way the monster stared down at him that Oliver didn’t like at all. He almost had the feeling that its mischievous eyes followed him around as he went to the table and sat down – very spooky!
